Repertoire Guidelines for Bassoon
Students should be working on, or able to play music at the level indicated by these selections. The student does not necessarily have to play these specific pieces. The lists below are just a guideline. Students should perform two (2) contrasting pieces that indicative their current level of study. Trombone, Euphonium or Baritone Horn
Students should perform two (2) contrasting pieces that indicative their current level of study. One piece should be classical in nature, as the list suggests, and the other can be of the students own choosing. The second piece can also be from this list, or any piece in any genre as the student desires. Contrasting elements might include tempo or rhythm, historic time period, dynamics or texture, etc. The list below is to be used as a guide rather than a limitation to your choices. Students should perform either two (2) short pieces, or movements, or one longer piece.
